We will meet as Forest Church on the 3rd Sunday in August (the 17th) at 2pm outside the Crichton Chapel
Raspberries are already ripe. The time for collecting brambles is drawing near! You may have already noticed the first fruits.

For those further west than Dumfries here is some news from Asheiri
During August the Hut, woodlands and Peace Garden will be open for prayer and reflection. Visitors are welcome most days between 9am and 6pm, but be aware that gardening is going on Mondays and Thursdays, that may involve mowing and strimming.
In an age of diverse practices and beliefs, prayer has not lost its importance but perhaps shifted its focus. Instead of conjuring up images of a distant deity who may or may not respond to their requests, many would say that connecting with the God of their understanding is as much about going within as looking outside themselves. Walking or sitting in stillness close to nature has long been a part of the prayer life of the Celtic and travelling people of our lands.
If you or someone you know would like to speak to a spiritual mentor when you visit, or share your prayer time with another Forest Churchgoer, please put your request in an email to sarah@asheiri.one.
and also from “Church Without Walls” in the Wigton area.
But if you are in Dumfries on the 17th of August we will hopefully see you here!
