Adapting
In 2020 Quartz had planned to be involved in an environmental fair. Precautions taken to reduce the spread of Covid meant we had to adapt.
We went online! It was before this version of the website was set up, but you can still find an account of what we did here:
The link will take you to the public involvement page. This page was designed to provide worthwhile and meaningful #SensingSpirituality activities that everyone could participate in with integrity. A market stall if you will!
There is also a link on the page for anyone interested in resources from Church heritage for #SensingSpirituality. This is adapted from an event we would have held in the St Johns building.
A Way of Working
This is a concious pattern of of breathing out into the wider community providing a service, and breathing in to refresh ourselves. It is a theme which is hopefully recognisable in many Quartz activities.
When we are outside of the Church community we look for God in friend and stranger, and ways in which we can experience the kingdom emerging in our midst. We then use what we have learned and learn through reflecting on the experience. We hope that this will help us grow as a community, both growing closer to God and also within the everyday world we live in.
