Here is a story in photos of the walk we took today, and the Forest Church service at the Crichton.

We met at the midsteeple, where St Michael’s hat glitters in the sun. The sign marks distances on drover routes to cattle markets.
There is greenspace all round the hospital. Handy if you need to wait for a while. This is part of an area known as “Mountainhall Greenspace“
Until we reached the familiar Crichton. We discovered a new perspective on the chapel, as we walked in from below it rather than the car park above.
Here we met those who were gathering for Forest Church. We had a few moments to sunbathe first though!
We discussed the landscape that geese ‘see’. Trails made by ants, and the piles of shucked seeds at the door to their home.
We thought about the providential surprises from God that keep us on the road, and more than that, make us smile.
We discussed hoarding, making sacrifices – and the role of intent.
Then our feet found their way to the central café where we shared refreshment together.
