A group of children from Lyubotyn in Ukraine, (where one of The Depot’s partner organisations is based), have sent us their drawings of Scotland as they know and imagine it. 🏴
So we’ve organised an exhibition for them at The Standard on Saturday, 22 August — and we’d love you to join us!
As part of a fundraised respite trip to have a rest from the ongoing realities of war, many of the young artists are currently visiting Scotland and will be there at the exhibition in person to see how their Scotland compares with the real thing!
Come along from 10am to 12pm, meet our young guests, have some fun and help us show them the magic of Scottish hospitality 💙💛
Sunday 23rd of August
The 11am service at St Johns will be another opportunity to explore the connections between Dumfries and the Ukraine.
And to pray with others for a meaningful and lasting peace!
St Johns has supported these respite trips since they began. Some of those in exile are regular worshipers, members of the choir, contributors in many ways to the ongoing life of the community. This is an opportunity to celebrate that.
