(meet at Mountainhall car park this month). Park at the downhill end of the car park and enjoy the view over the river.
We will gather to meet with God in Creation. After the busyness of Easter this month will be a reminder of the days when we walked amongst the trees and practiced #SensingSpirituality
Look out for Andy Brooke!
Just as God speaks to us through the words of scripture, so God speaks to us through the elements of creation. The cosmos is like a living sacred text that we can learn to read and interpret. Just as we prayerfully ponder all the words of the bible in Christian practice, and as other traditions study their sacred texts, so we are invited to listen to the life of creation as an ongoing, living utterance of God.
“Christ of the Celts” J Philip Newell Wild goose2008 p68
Can you remember moments where you have sense what is true, beautiful, eternal, lovely in your daily life? Can you join these moments up into a language, a text, that describes encounters with God walking with us through creation. A creation restored to flourishing relationship through the trauma of re-birth Christians remembered throughout Easter.
The plan is to walk round the Dispersed memorial forest near the Mountainhall treatment centre, and pray amongst these trees.
Last month people explored the sections of forest planted on the Crichton estate.
