Forest Church in Exile – Way Signs

This month we are spending a few days on the banks of Loch Lomond at Rowardennan Lodge Youth Hostel – always good to be around younger folk! As we’ve walked in the beauty I’ve been thinking about the different signs we encounter along our walks of life, all different but doing a vital job of guiding us along and helping prevent wrong or unhelpful turns…

We all come to the truth in our own way, either through portals of illumination or having logs of unbelief removed and cleared from our understanding. Jesus is the one who guides and beckons us to a better understanding of who we are.

Sometimes we have to look carefully for the sign or might suddenly encounter it in a moment of fleeting beauty…pausing as we hurry by and carrying it within us as we go.

A rock becomes a soft place and a lone tree makes a striking vertical against an otherwise tranquil horizontal horizon…

In a turbulent world we can rest on God’s dependable truth revealed in the strength of growth and the gentle process of decay. It’s all there to see.
